Awards to Kerala Police
Brilliant Display by Kerala Police that narrates the story of technology policing at the International Trade Fair at New Delhi.
It was a journey through the new paths of technology policing, the brilliant show put up by Kerala Police at the Kerala Pavilion of the India International Trade Fair, New Delhi organised from 14.11.17 to 27.11.17 which helped the Kerala Police to bag the Best Exhibitor Award at the Kerala Pavilion of the IITF.
More than ten equipments, systems and software’s that the Kerala Police uses to ensure the safety and security of the public were in display at the stall. Equipments and software’s used in traffic junctions, 3D Geo Spatial system of video mapping by Drones for crisis management, easy-to-learn video games and safety mobile apps for various occasions are some of the attractions. Police Mobile App i-safe gets Elets Knowledge Exchange Awards 2015
Kerala police has won the award for the best use of mobile technology at the Elets Knowledge Exchange Awards 2015 held in Goa. The award winning mobile application “i-safe” is initiated by Thiruvananthapuram city police created with the help of IT firm UST Global and will soon be made available in other places. i-safe helps citizens can maintain direct contact with police during emergencies. Through a push button on the App, users get real-time police assistance while in danger or in a situation that requires immediate help. Once police receive an alert, along with information on the user's location, the subscriber ID, and the mobile IMEI number, they dispatch help via the nearest police control room (PCR) vehicle.
Chief Minister’s Award-2011 for Innovation in Public Policy (Category Public Service Delivery)
Kerala Police Team headed by Sri. P. Chandrasekharan. IPS, ADGP (Administration) and Chief Police Co-ordinator for Sabarimala received Chief Minister’s Award for Innovation in Public Policy under Public Service Delivery category for Sabarimala Virtual Queue and Web portal System. The Government of Kerala, in significant decision, instituted the Chief Minister’s Award for Innovation in four categories from 2011 onwards.The four categories are

Best Police Station in the Country Award to Palakkad Town South Police Station – 2008
For excellent professional achievements Palakkad Town Police Station won the award for the efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of public services. Based on Altus Global Alliance of Netherlands evaluation, Palakkad Town South Police Station was selected as the best in the State of Kerala and in India as a whole and as runner up for the best police station in South Asia Region. The station had a score of 85 when the average score in Kerala was 65. The national average score was 75. Innovative community policing and excellent professional achievements have helped Palakkad Town South Police Station get the award for the best police station in the country and come in as the second best in the south Asia region. 116 police stations across the country, including 11 from Kerala, were in the fray for this prestigious award.
